Spirit of Grace School of Ministry
SOGM established their first school of ministry in western Kenya in January of 07. We are excited about this new endeavor. We wanted to start small and limited space to 30 students in our first semester. We are getting great reports back from the students and pastors who have taken advantage of this opportunity to learn principles of effective ministry and Christian service from some of the finest teachers in the history of the church. We are providing them with 50 of the greatest Christian books and around 500 recorded messages from the finest teachers in the body of Christ. We are already receiving requests from Christian leaders to do more schools of ministry in their area. May God multiply this tremendous outreach all over Africa and wherever God's servants are need of training.
We established our second school of ministry in Lagos, Nigeria in November, 2007. We found here, as in Kenya, there were many pastors and even Bishops that were yearning for this kind of Bible teaching. We founded our third school in Port Blair, India this September.
The potential for these schools is practically unlimited. They can be set up far more cheaply than traditional Bible Schools, and be accessed by people that could never afford seminaries, and yet will provide some of the finest Bible instruction ever afforded to the body of Christ. Please pray for God's favor on this endeavor and for open doors to train more and more of those whom God has called. This Year
We have scheduled ministry trips to Uganda, The Philippines, South Africa, India, and Kenya in 2008. In addition to the overseas meetings Dennis preaches in churches in the U. S. as his schedule and available opportunities allow him. Much of the day to day ministry of SOGM is funded by our "Friends of Grace" program. We ask our friends to consider making a commitment of a regular monthly gift of $25 or more to support the regular needs of the ministry. In addition to this please consider giving special gifts to support specific outreaches that we announce. We praise God for our friends who have responded to God's call on their lives to partner with us in proclaiming the gospel and raising up laborers for the harvest.
Mombassa in November
Dennis is scheduled to minister in Mombassa, Kenya this November. Kenya has been through great turmoil in the beginning of this year, facing near civil war conditions. Things have settled down greatly since then, but there is a great need for healing the divisions and hostility that have resulted. Pray that this ministry trip would not only result in the salvation of souls and the building up of the leaders of the church there, but would have a healing effect upon the nation. We praise God for our many ministry friends in Kenya, and the doors God has opened for us in East Africa, using Kenya as our base of operations. Pray for Kenya!
CD Series
Dennis has recorded a number of teaching series on CDs. These cover nearly every aspect of Christian living and ministry. Some of the themes of these series include: The Holy Spirit in the Gospels, The Making of a Man of God, Effective Evangelism, The Fundamentals of Divine Healing, and the Abiding Life. In the second half of this year Dennis plans on creating several new teaching series, including the topics: The Ways of God, The Offices of Jesus, The Nature of the Trinity, and A Biblical Understanding of Self-esteem. Also we do not copyright these resources - feel free to duplicate them and share them with others.
A Pressing Need
Our ministry in Africa could be much more efficient and less costly if we could provide our Africa team members with a sound system that they could use in each meeting that we do. As it is, we have to rent a sound system each time, and this can be quite costly - as much as $2,000. If we could purchase a good sound system for about $5,000 (keep in mind that we need a system that can be clearly heard by thousands scattered over large fields) we would be able to use this system over and over and could save a great deal of money.
