Mission India - 2011

My recent ministry in India was greatly blessed as the Holy Spirit confirmed again and again God's love for the Indian people and His desire that we should continue to go to this vast nation and preach the unsearchable riches of Jesus Christ.  I ministered in two cities: Visakhapatnam and Samarlakota. In both these cities I taught in seminars during the days and preached in public meetings during the evenings. The theme in both cities was the glorious return of our Lord Jesus.

In both cities I was scheduled to do three days of seminars and three evenings of public preaching. During the evenings, especially, I wanted to make the messages both informative and evangelistic. I decided to preach on the Day of the Lord Jesus, breaking this incredible Day into its three primary components, and preaching on one aspect each night. On the first night I preached on the resurrection from the dead, on the second night the rapture of the church, and on the third night the judgment seat of Christ.

The Lord's blessing was greatly evident on these messages and we saw many scores of people responding to the call to be born again. Everywhere I went, including preaching at various local churches on the two Sundays I was there, great numbers raised their hands, stood to their feet, and came to the front to indicate their desire to receive Christ and be born again. Surely India is a starving nation. With all their abundance of false religions, when the Bread of Life is preached and offered, the Indian people gladly respond!

The Indian believers were so very appreciative of the ministry and accorded me far too much honor as they tried to express their gratitude for the ministry. On the final night in Samarlakota they must have hung seven or eight garlands of flowers around my neck, the traditional Indian manner of honoring an esteemed guest.

Thanks so much for your prayers and support for this ministry in India. The expense of this mission has drained our finances but that is nothing new. Our Lord is faithful. When I experience His grace so richly at work, and feel God's great love being poured out toward the Indian people I know that He who has ordained this mission will be faithful to provide all our needs and make a way for the next one.
